If the RFID readers detects tags, the specific IDs are sent to the Flash application via the Phidget Web Service running on the attached computer. Depending on which tags, if any, are present, the Flash application determines the appropriate animation to play and projects it onto the front screen of the box. If a picture block is inserted into the box, the child will hear a sound associated with the object and simultaneously see the word for the object projected onto the front of the box. If a word block is inserted into the box, a picture of the object will be projected onto the front of the box. And if matching word and picture blocks are placed in the box, an exciting animation of the object including sound and motion is displayed.
