\nThis project entailed the design of two high definition UI prototypes to be utilized in a series of user studies investigating input methods for a Kodak camera. The camera was a new model consumer camera with WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, but no touchscreen. The first design explores possible methods for text entry and Bluetooth functionality using a small joystick pad located on the back of the device. The second prototype explores the development of a UI to test an alternative method for adding a new feature to a menu on the same camera.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both UIs were developed using Flash AS2. During the usability tests the code was run on the camera itself to ensure the results approximated a real-world usage scenario. The design of the interface was based on a set of predetermined user requirements and was used to ascertain improvements prior to release of the commercial device.<\/p>\n

Results of the user tests were compiled into a report which included recommendations for the final UI on the commercial version of the camera.<\/p>\n
